AFAIK, most hotel chains determine loyal customer status by counting qualifying nights in a calendar year. Once a threshold is reached, status is granted for the rest of the calendar year (if not requalifying from the previous year) and the next one.

But Scandic Friend seems to count differently, at least for re-qualifying. I just can't figure out exactly how. Does anybody understands their method?
