Let's say i booked a BA flight with BA and booked Business Class but that flight on American codeshare only had 1st Class, PE and Economy.

Where would they seat you? Doesn't matter who owns you, who you paid, what the airline is......simply if they do not have the cabin booked then where hypothetically would they seat you.
