I'm doing a SOF->LHR->CDG->JFK->LAX starting tomorrow. Positioning is on Wizz tonight, it's not b2b or anything like that.

The transatlantic leg is AA on Saturday with BA ticket and flight number, so the plan is to do a LFT in Sofia tomorrow morning, I'll have a certificate on phone or tablet then, which theoretically I can load to verifly. However as my flight is CDG->JFK, Verifly only knows about AA flight numbers from CDG so I can't add my BA codeshare flight number. The AA portions have their own record locator, there's also a BA PNR covering the whole thing.

So questions:

1) If I enter my BA PNR into Verifly using the AA flight number, will it clear me to OLCI? (or should I use the record locator?)
2) Otherwise I'll check in at the desk in SOF. If for any reason I hit an issue with the check in and documentation, will I get checked in as far as LHR? I can easily sort things out there. I'm a little concerned that if there were an issue with my LFT certificate I might get left high and dry.
