You can always ask the crew, but based on recent experience they are likely to apologise and say it's not something they can fix.

Look out for Xfly Cityjet CRJ on Saturdays or Sundays. They sub for some of the weekend flights LHR-ARN, in which case you'll definitely not have any wifi.
