For those booking in Flex (or lower) they already have a tiered upgrade clearance window that I think works well. Not saying it should be duplicated exactly for Latitude tickets, but maybe 25/35K should have to wait a bit to clear and maybe 50/75k too but a little earlier than 25/35k, leave the anytime upgrade for latitude fares for the SE.

I don’t know, there are probably factors that I’m missing…
I really appreciate that you're coming up with potential solutions.

I'm not sure how they could solve the SFO check-in situation. For me, they could add a SE line. But without going to the YYZ approach (and there is neither the volume or the space at SFO), there are always going to be "real" status people stuck in a line behind people who haven't earned it the "real" way.
