Thank you for the input. I elected to go via PHX to save a bit of time. I'm traveling the week of Independence day and it appears a lot of seats have been filled/limited upgrade possibility. I have had minimal success upgrading as a Platpro from hubs. I debated doing a status challenge with United. My travel will change dramatically later in the year but I do not have enough trips planned to complete the challenge.
