If it is all one booking, then yes BA would rebook you - however they are very unlikely to do this already so I wouldn't waste your time trying to speak to someone.

What will happen once your flight from SAN is on the way and there is a reasonably accurate ETA, is that they will rebook people who are clearly going to miss connecting flights, and for those who may be close they may leave them so you can try and make it.
