This is quite common in ALL casino properties in Vegas, not just Excalibur, even the higher end ones like Mandalay bay and Bellagio. But I do wonder what makes it take much much longer than regular non casino hotels. If you don't want to stand and wait, then stay at MGM grand, there is a gold lounge there you can sit inside have snacks and water while waiting, there are also more people who work the gold lounge at certain times of the day than any other MGM properties.

I have done Bellagio fountain view the night before for my birthday then Excalibur the next day, this happened just last week.
