Similar Issue with Uber
Same situation happened recently with Uber in San Diego. Asked for a car, watched for 5 minutes as it approached, waved at the driver but he just kept on driving past me. After he passed, I received a message that my ride had been cancelled. Requested a new car and all went well. Someone suggested that the initial Uber driver could not see that my destination was 30 miles north of San Diego and they guessed he didn't want to drive that far north in the evening. That's the first I learned that the drivers don't see your destination when they accept your request. Seems odd - wouldn't that prevent these awkward situations?
