10 years as cabin crew (1988-1999) for a British carrier operating both longhaul and shorthall, we were frequently bought chocolates from the onboard duty free bar by passengers. We would generally split them out into plastic glasses and place one in each galley and one on the flight deck. Can safely say never felt creepy and always welcomed.
