Regarding the 2000 bonus - is it only on the featured shops? I can't quite tell. I spent over 500 on the Vistaprint order that posted, but the bonus shows 0

I'm getting 3 RDM & LP (plus whatever my CC gives me) on all my non-travel, non-restaurant purchases and expenses (I use my regular travel and restaurant cards for those). It adds up fast.
Honestly I wonder how long this will last; it's way too generous. $250k spend on a DL card gets you a MQD waiver (you still need to fly the miles or segments) and $120k spend on UA card(s) gets you 5k PQP (out of 24k needed for 1K status starting next year). The fact that on AA you can get EXP by spending a few 10s of thousands of dollars with the right partners is really a very low bar compared to the competition.
Right now my main concern is how to spend all the RDM I'm getting. I may have to start traveling domestically on award flights instead of paying for them.
Re. Painless/fun: I started this eshopping portal about a month ago. I now got 20,000 LPs here (and another 4,000 LPs on simplymiles), and all I do is check the site and add in some flexibility, but my rule is to only buy what I actually need/want.
I.E.
Need wine? Instead of going to my normal retailer, rack up 7x points trying out a few other places.
Need stuff at lowes? Group my purchase into one and make it a online delivery order. 1 pt/$ isn't much, but when I spend 2,000 on mulch and landscaping supplies, that's 2000 LPs (and I still get my 5% Lowes discount using that credit card)
And, for a lot of things, I feel stupid for not discovering this sooner because my retailers are already there. Belks, 1800 contacts, adidas (gym shorts), underarmour (shoes), Chewy, etc. Etc.
So, I agree it's painless (especially since the opportunity costs are minimal or none) and it's fun enough to see the points flow in. I do 80% of my shopping online anyways, as just a factor of not living near that many good quality retailers. Now, all I really do is check the portal first (and train my wife to do so too).
I had no problem getting all my purchases yesterday to count towards the 2000 bonus. I hit 3 different retailers, nothing showed yesterday, but this morning it showed them all as counting. And while most retailers show as pending between 2-24 hours afterwards, I've had a few take a couple of days.
