The registration step is supposed to be what makes the bank verify step work. It seems like it's not working for Apple wallet though (has anyone gotten it to work?)
It works fine with Google Pay; I've added and paid with several. Once I realized that I needed to register and then add using their link and their app I haven't had any issues.
