A VERY VERY different experience August 2021.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
DELUXE ONE DOUBLE BED Advance Saver Member Exclusive with Breakfast according to IHG. No mention of UG at checkin. But bed was super king
How are the rooms?
Room 179. Abysmal and possibly dangerous. Low step within 2ft of door not differentiated by marking or different carpet. Both wife and I fell over it - and one step back from closet you would have been on floor. Reasonable floor area - but very low ceilings, made even lower in places by beams. Rainforest shower head was at about 5ft 6ins. Main shower head lower and not detachable. Uneven floor with threadbare capet with no underlay. Windows with only internal view of glazed winter gardens. Toiletries (Elemis) already used.

£10 bar credit - TBF nice public areas but never used the credit

What was good and what was bad?
Good: Public areas - if you like Victoriana. Location next to Oxford Rd. station
Bad: This room was dreadful. Even the shower drainage was blocked. Nothing was aligned straight from curtains to power sockets. It was like a Chinese 5* from the Noughties!!! Didn't even ask "How was the Stay" at checkout.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Impossible to equate because the room was a shocker. Reading other reviews it sounds like we were unlucky. No return - back to The Hilton or CP. Even the HIX room could not have not been so depressing!
