Sedona is a good choice but I had a look at the hilton sedona at Bell rock for July and it was pricing at $400 pm

compared to.pre covid hotel prices may be higher and some services may be restricted ( ie breakfast for status members) ( however hotel prices may be lower than at other times and other destinations)

The heard museum and the old state capitol are good.
Phx is spread out so you will need a car or uber or beside the light rail but being outdoors in phx will be very hot
