By way of oneupmanship, the best free champagne I have had was some magnificent vintage Heidseck Cordon Bleu flying BA in F GIG-LGW in December 1990.
Only matched by the ladel-fulls of 1st rate Caviar served in F on a TG flight HKG-BKK. As the only pax in F I could have had the whole 200g tin had I wanted. Had I managed, it would have cost TG more than I paid for the ticket which has to be a first in all sense of the word.
