This year, we have stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Phuket, Westin Siray Bay, Four Points Patong Beach, JW Marriott Phuket, and this property, all for four nights or more.

We were satisfied with the contemporary rooms and the morning buffet spread is very good. The main pool is enjoyable and the restaurant that serves afternoon cocktails is a great way to spend the sunset hours. The beach is pretty ordinary though, and the gym is quite small. The staff is great here and I see the management team help out during breakfast, talk to guests etc. A good ten minute walk away along the beach you can find street food, we randomly had lobster at one of the eateries, while sitting at a table on the beach, there and surprisingly was quite tasty and of good value.

All the above properties cater to different demographic groups. The Courtyard is an excellent property for those wanting to be in the old town and the buffet is good too. The Four Points pool areas are great but I found the rooms tiny and the lobby area can be a mess with guests, guess it suits those wanting to visit/stay in Patong. Now, the Westin Siray Bay - sadly, well overdue of a major renovation as I could not recommend it in its current shape. That property does remind me a bit of the Conrad Koh Samui. The JW Marriott is traditional Thai luxury and is a comfortable property. They had the best buffet spread out of those Marriott properties I visited. Where would I go back to? Well, it depends. My primary preferences is contemporary decor/rooms, good beach, comfort and accessibility around the island.
