Just finished a one-night stay at the property and was very happy with our experience.
I used on of my Cat 1-4 certs and booked into a standard King. When I spoke with the property, I expressed my concern about the small size of the base rooms and was told that some king rooms are bigger than others and they would do their best to put me into one; I also let them know I was open to a queen/queen suite.
When we checked in, we were put into a larger king on the 13th floor; one of two rooms on the floor facing Baltimore Avenue and above the main entrance to the hotel. Overall, we were very happy with the size of the room. The vacant Midland Building is across the street so there wasn't any privacy concerns (plus, it is only 12 stories tall). Upon check in we were given two bottles of water for the room; it was nice to have a mini-fridge in the room to keep them cold. There was a K-Cup coffee maker in the room and the only drinking cups in the room were the two disposable ones on the coffee trolley.
I was advised that my breakfast amenity was a $50 credit; we used it at the Lobby Cafe for some unremarkable breakfast burritos and a strangely-crafted cortado. We also got a few breakfast bars for travel snacks. There is also a breakfast buffet at $18 per person that starts at 0800 on the weekends; today's options were scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and french toast bread pudding, along with breads and juices. We had an 1100 brunch reservation, so didn't bother to partake, but that would be the other "free" Globalist option.
Before checking out, I looked at my folio in the mobile app and noticed there was a $35 valet parking charge. I called down to the Front Desk and they removed it without any argument.
Overall, we were really happy with the hotel and will certainly make this our top choice the next time were are in the area.
