I was told at the open house that all four gates are designed to have jetways eventually. Right now, there is just one, but another one will be brought over from the existing airport terminal when that terminal returns to just doing charters. Also, the new PVU terminal just has one security lane but the scanning equipment at the existing airport will also be brought over, so there will be two lanes. There is a sign for Precheck, so somehow that will be worked in.

Initially, PVU will have four gates. The terminal is designed to be expandable to up to ten gates. There are three lounges -- one for families with young children, one for business people needing things like printers and scanners, and a traditional-style lounge. I am not sure how memberships will work, or if any will be needed. There will also be an airport restaurant, a Guru's (which is a local Provo health food restaurant). https://guruscafe.com/

The new airport still has a punch-list of work to be done to get ready for the switchover, which is expected to happen in July. The new terminal is on the south end of the airport property while the old terminal (which will continue to be used for charter flights) is at the north end. There is ample public parking. It was free parking for the open house but I don't know if it will be free once the new terminal opens. It looks like the lot is designed to allow for toll booths.

There are two baggage machines and room for two check-in desks (but that is expandable). The two airlines at opening will be Breeze and Allegiant. PVU will be a focus city for both airlines. There will be car rental desks but those had not yet been built so I am not sure whether all of the majors are coming or not. There is also public transit service to the existing terminal (Route 833) and I am sure that the route will be adjusted to also stop at the new terminal. So for people wanting to arrival at PVU and depart later in the day from SLC (or vice versa), it will be possible to do that via the Utah Transit Authority. Take the 833 bus from the airport to the Provo train station. Catch a Frontrunner train to Salt Lake City and get off at the North Temple station. Then take the Green Line light rail from there to the SLC airport.
