I don’t find the catering too bad, especially with the semi resumption of the buffet. The BA Burger is still in the CCR, so I agree with the above that the kitchen can’t cope with the demand, hence simplified catering.
I do think it’s unarguable that the lounges (especially F) are incredibly crowded, which is affecting service levels. I suspect the rapid resumption of demand, combined with generous extension/reduced thresholds and 2x TP / BAH F wing policies, has caught BA off guard.
The other thing that would help in all lounges is the full return of the buffet. Pre2020 only a minority of guests would actually order from the menu (in fact they were famously hidden

). In the case of the F lounge this would also increase capacity.
