Assuming you have some BA status, you will see a big Emerald or Sapphire printed on the BP. But if you really want to be sure ask the check in staff (or even better, in the AC) to confirm for you. The only time I've had problems with AA flights posting has been with waitlisted flights - otherwise it's pretty fast and accurate.
