Not really, T3 was originally the BA branded terminal. The BA domestic / regional and long haul flights all departed from there when it first opened.
Wasn’t it called T1 Domestic? Or T1 - British Airways? I don’t know which came first. Either way the majority of the passengers, for the majority of the day were imagined as being short haul?
BA really did value EC and Club passengers in those days - the original lounge layout was about the same size as the general waiting area below - less the skylight.
