I really don't understand why Labour made such a big deal about light rail to the airport. Even in 2018ish when they were still pushing it hard $69 million was being allocated to Puhinui to improve connectivity to the airport which for anybody in the CBD will be quicker than light rail will ever be.

It seems they finally saw the light and now the focus now isn't so much on light rail being a solution for airport connectivity,
