I have been a B of A customer for over 30 years. I have an existing Plt card with a $12,500 credit limit. I don't need anywhere near this limit. I need some Flying Blue miles and want to apply for this card.
Should I reduce my existing credit limit first to give better chance of automatic approval? Or wait and see if I am denied, then offer to reduce it?

I only have 2 other Chase cards and no apps in the last 5 years from any credit card.
