I know some people who have done similar commutes for even a couple years. You would be the first I heard of not doing it on WN.
Well, I have tons of AS miles to burn, so I would rather travel for free, that's how this super commute idea came up in the first place. I've tracked a couple WN flights, the bay area flights sometimes get delayed. I would stick with LAX-SFO since it has the highest frequency and with AS I could rebook to AA/UA/DL during irrops. WN simply doesn't provide the same level of protection. I'm going to Berkeley and from SFO it's just a simple BART ride, whereas from SJC I have to take a local bus to Milpitas then BART, which definitely takes longer. I know some people prefer BUR/SNA/LGB/ONT/OAK/SJC for a reason, but for me I would rather choose the route with highest frequency and most carriers.
