I will say they certainly do not publicize this when they book you on a connecting flight.
They also don't advertise they don't have steak dinners aboard, and they don't mention the don't in their contracts.
Why would they publicize the infinite ways that are not their responsibility ... Are not their responsibility?
You have a right to be annoyed with reality - reality sucks - but not at Air Canada. You are holding them to a standard they have never offered, never advertised.
