We are taking SQ437 to SIN then don't leave for EWR until almost mid-night the same day. Based on what I learned so far, going out of the airport for a day trip in the city seems to be not an option because it will invalidate your covid test. But as far as spending time inside the airport, are you also restricted in certain areas ("transit area")?
