Wound up with the DFW option as I needed to be home early in the afternoon. The Latam flight left about 45min late. On arrival to GRU a gate issue caused another nearly hour delay. Then there were further delays as AA online had an issue with my COVID test - they issued a boarding pass, but it didn't work at the checkpoints. I had to go to the AA desk, which was quite busy. Fortunately I was in Biz. Long story short: I got to my gate just as boarding began! All is well that ends well.
