Landing yesterday on full flight to Newark on El Al (my first time), I was wondering if it would be preferable to pick one over the other next time. I obviously have no status whatsoever on El Al, and I am a CO Gold (meaning no status whatsoever on this route). Aside from the NonePass miles, is CO econ any more or less comfortable?
I can say for sure that El Al's food is truly horrible. I believe this was the first airline meal I did not finish despite being very hungry. The IFE was mediocre. The seats reclined only several inches, thus ensuring a sleepless night. (a tradeoff for not having the passenger in front of you become one with your lap).
