Hope it's ok to piggyback on this thread vs. starting another. I am confirmed JFK-FRA this summer in F and looking forward to checking out the suites. I'm waitlisted FRA-SIN (had one day confirm, but turns out they are running the 777 on that one particular day for some reason so I declined - will get to try the 777 F product from SIN-NRT anyway if the first leg ever does clear). As a backup I've reserved ANA F from LHR-HND, which is my favorite product currently.

Wondering if folks have flown both and have an opinion...
1) SQ suites is something new (for me), and not sure the shorter/night flight from JFK is enough to enjoy/appreciate it
2) I stupidly transferred all needed points to KF when I thought I had an opening, but ended up waitlisted for the 2nd leg... so the points are there regardless and I know KF expires points whereas I will have no trouble changing and reusing the Virgin ANA award
3) obviously there is more travel time and complexity involved with the SQ option (either way I have about 6 days in europe but I have some tentative plans to make use of the time) but I'm ok with spending a day in SIN visiting a friend
4) I suppose if things never clear I could reuse the points for ANA awards but the redemptions are unattractive
