I have called both Expedia and Iberia directly (both twice) and they each confirmed my reservation and Iberia even re-sent my ticket numbers. Has anyone had this happen before? My concern is that I'll show up the day of departure in Marrakech and be faced with not having a valid reservation. Despite receiving ticket numbers and Expedia and Iberia telling me everything is OK my concerns are based on:
1. Not having been charged
2. Iberia has twice confirmed my ticket numbers by e-mail, however, each time I have received two e-mails at once. One e-mail with the ticket numbers which are aligned with my booking code I initially received at purchase that works on Iberia.com, another with the same ticket numbers that reference an entirely different booking code which does not work on Iberia.com (maybe has to do with Expedia?). I am able to type in the ticket numbers on other airline websites such as Royal Jordanian and the booking code I'm familiar with is generated.
3. When I go to Manage My Booking on Iberia.com under the booking code I received at time of purchase, it directs me to the Morocco site and despite the site language being in French, the spot that normally shows the ticket number says pending instead, despite having received ticket numbers through e-mail. Maybe this is due to booking through Expedia and they will never show up?
Any insight would be appreciated.
I just experienced the same thing. However, I booked online with Iberia. Received a confirmation email, received receipt with ticket numbers, and confirmed with a live operator that everything is OK with the reservation. There was a pending charge on my credit card for a few days for the flight and for a seat purchase, and now both pending charges are gone and did not convert to actual charges.
