With a 19 hour layover, you will need to claim your luggage and recheck it. Even if they would keep it for you during the layover, I'm not sure you would want them to do so. I would rather have my bags with me for that length of time rather than have them sitting around the Mexico City airport. I'm not sure if there are secure luggage storage facilities in MEX'S T1 or not.
