Thank you! I plan to! And yes, one of the best trips I ever did was with my siblings taking the Caledonian Sleeper from London to Inverness and driving back to London over the next ten days. Never set foot on a plane between disembarking from the one that brought us from the US and getting on the one that took us back. The memories and experiences made during car and train transport are what populates my photo album - not a single photo of the plane trip.

My heart goes out to those who have dire need to get from point to point quickly due to business obligations, family obligations with no flexibiity etc. But for those of us with some wiggle room because our jobs don't care if we get back one day later than planned and the whole trip is supposed to be a refreshing holiday anyway, being forced to look at other options may end up being the best thing that happened. (Not that I plan on sending BA a thank you note for it; I can never get back the time I've wasted on hold the last several weeks. Sure, I could do some simple tasks while waiting, but it cost me a lot of good high productivity time during the business day. I wonder - can I invoice them? hmmmm....... )
