I do carry a *G tag on my carryon though normally, so maybe that makes a difference? I've had it actually before when leaving a DAA bag on a LH Cityline flight that the baggage loader first went to grab it, then seen the tag and left it until I have closed the pull handle, so maybe they are told to leave status tagged bags alone if possible?
In my experience a SEN tag does not make any difference at all in VIE. VIE used to be my home airport and after some time I became an expert in spotting and dodging pre-security weight checkers who did not (and honestly should not) discriminate between status or non-status passengers exiting the dedicated *G check-in area and the general approach to security alike. This is, however, pretty much an exclusive ex VIE issue rather than an LH group ex anywhere one.
