After takeoff from CDG ( on most days when departing to the West ) you'll see a bit of central Paris out the left hand side on a clear day but it's a long way away especially if departing off the Northern runways as the BA flight often will - Misterfuss photo above has a lot of zooming in going on .. It's nothing like the views you get of London coming into Heathrow .. Orly is a bit better as it's slightly closer to Paris but neither would really feature in anyone's Top 100 spectacular approaches list so I wouldn't worry about it too much
