Given that the soft-brand + Millennial-"select"-service trends arose at about the same time, I'm surprised there hasn't been any push to collection-ify the midscale market. I know there's
one "by Hyatt Place" hotel in fancy-schmancy Lake Forest, Ill., but otherwise even the most urban HP/HHs are pretty bog-standard.

The silly thing is that most loyalty programmes don't lean into the concept of 20+ different brands and gamify it more.
Here it is, the only reason why it should matter to any of us... besides the ever-shrinking fine print at the footer of every webpage.
