Hi, I have a 21 hour overnight layover in Zurich (arriving from BOM at 10:30AM and departing Zurich for a EU destination (France) the next morning at 7:30AM)

Could I retrieve my luggage in Zurich? Can I request the check-in staff at BOM to just check it until Zurich considering the long overnight layover, and have the ability to recheck in the next AM for the short flight to France
