Theres alot of value one can get aside from the tumi, everyone should do the calculations with pure math what the extra cost will get them. IMHO atleast
For me I received 2 extra tier bonuses whoch got me a free J trip to BKK and left 40k on the plus, as well as the miles from flying. The Tumi of course, extra vouchers possibly the extra OWE year, the e tra guests which will be fun, and the gold cards so for me the math made sense.
OBVIOUSLY for some it will never make sense and that's fine, and obviosuly ay vs QR is a huge service difference so thats something to also factor in...
For me it was 100% a value for money spent calculations and I did it all on Y fares so not tit for tat but math was my friend 😃😃😃
