A friend of mine got a response this morning to his claim re the additional seats being used in CE. He wasn't affected as the middle set in his row wasn't filled. Despite this he got 10k avios compensation, which to me seems completely bonkers. Says this was the only thing he complained about, though separately had had compensation for the delay also experienced.
