Mileage upgrade awards are round amounts that depend on fare class and TATL vs TPAC, something like 50,000 miles.
It sounds like they did a one segment seat upgrade both directions ($800 each way) and OP paid using 160k miles. Agents screwed up as this is not a MUA and if OP booked in PS, at most I guess, 50k RT and if in Y/C+ I would guess 60-75k RT

Also would explain why they're saying can't upgrade domestic segment. I'm betting agents are new and don't understand MUA are only not options for N. and S. American flights.
