Am I entitled to request rerouting on another airline?
Just been informed that BA have cancelled both the outbound and inbounds segments LHR-MEX on a DUB - MEX booking at the start of June (in business class) and have automatically booked me onto flights the next day in both directions. The next day flights don't work for me.
As the outbound leaves 5 1/2 weeks from now can I request BA book me onto alternative airline flights that fly on the original dates? (I'm not sure if the length of notice BA gives impacts this). And can I insist on a direct flight between LHR-MEX if the answer to an alternate airline is yes (there are other one world partners that will do the route via a number of connections but only 1 airline that flies direct (Aeromexico))
