So, avoiding the queuing at Luton was a no-go. Queues for security right round the terminal.

Document check was uneventful, they printed both our boarding passes again, but had allocated my daughter a middle seat in front of my row. Didn't realise this until I'd left the check-in desk, gate agent couldn't help, but the cabin crew organised a mini reshuffle which actually appeared to please everyone involved, two friends got to sit together and someone who had been given a middle seat ended up with an aisle.

Flight was delayed two hours on departure, so I took us to the Aspire Lounge for breakfast.

We could both check in online for the journey home and we'd been given window-centre on the same row for that journey - I'd only paid for myself for window. That flight was also delayed, and there are no water fountains easily findable at WAW, and there was nothing open for refreshments down by the bus gates that didn't need me to gather all our belongings together and leave the general area. The A320 we got home was really tight for legroom with an underseat bag, which I couldn't keep underseat as my daughter wanted to play with some of the travel games we had in it.

It was a lovely trip, though. I'd do it again.

I think next time I might check baggage, though. Trolley bag and backpack and a tired 6 year old with hurty feet and two cuddly toys was quite a lot to wrangle. And the passengers wouldn't give me time to get my daughter out of her seat and collect my bag from up top without forcing their way past. Sometimes I still need to be able to carry her, it would appear.
