The website has a quirk. At the first screen of making a reservation, the usage of the Cert Box is ticked and grayed out, as a default. But it still shows points cost and how much would be deducted from your account, even though the Point Box is not checked and in White color. It took me a while to figure HOW to get the Cert Box to work. Yeah, it is after seeing the points being deducted while I thought the Cert was a default.
You first check the box of using points. ONCE the Point Box is checked, the Cert Box changes from Gray to White without tick mark. Now you can check the Cert Box and the cost now changes to ZERO point.
Why the website is designed in such a way is beyond me. Try the above method first and see if it would solve your issue.
This is different on my account. When I start to make a rez I have
only 1 box and it says:
"Use Points/Awards". It is always "white" and waiting for me to check it or not.
