Went to the baggage reporting/tracing desk in MUC and filed a report. Shortly after that they sent an email saying the bag was found:
Later in the afternoon the bag was handed to the courier to bring it to me, so I got another email.
The status once its handed to the courier remains foggy, but the 'mybag.aero' tracing has become significantly better.
