Thanks everyone, for responding. I actually thought I had canceled this post after drafting it... I was going to wait a few more days to see and did not mean to post this earlier thread, so I accidentally made another post yesterday not knowing people had already responded with the information I needed. I was in the middle of a busy stretch of work last week so I didn't even realize people had responded here. I apologize for being that annoying user cluttering up FlyerTalk.
So it seems that the lesson I take away here is that DL will sometimes takes weeks to actually cancel a flight after pulling the inventory. Wow. I guess I didn't have as much experience with DL's booking system as I thought I did after all. That's slow. Good to know.
