You were lucky with the shuttle. If you search this thread or other reviews, you'll find that the shuttle is one of the most common complaints. My own experience is that while waiting outside LAX for the shuttle, I always see shuttles for other hotels go by multiple times before the Hilton's arrives. I understand the hotel does not operate the shuttle, but the likelihood of longer waits for it is a point guests should be aware of.
