Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

• King Club Premier Harbour view
• Received same, no upgrade as hotel full. Offered 10,000 points or $70 F&B credit. Took the points.
• Amb weekend booking, three nights

How are the rooms?

• Pleasantly furnished but more business than luxury - perfectly OK
• Bed far too soft - common issue at ICs everywhere IMHO
• Traditional Nespresso coffee machine, but empty mini-bar
• Bathroom has window to room but can be “blurred” at touch of button
• Byredo toiletries

How is the exec. lounge?
Breakfast served at Chameleon downstairs
Evening cocktails as per-COVID, good buffet selection
Drinks served to table, limited selection of wines, cocktails, beers
Overall pleasant enough with good attentive service

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Absolutely.

What was good and what was bad?
The lack of upgrade didn’t bother me, the room allocated was fine and the points welcome. This hotel is fine, not top end but I like it. It’s probably the best in Wellington - I prefer it to the Sofitel.
