I went thru Charlotte a few weeks ago, the weather was bad and the airport was a nightmare. Luck was going my way and my flight was on time though had a huge standby list, there must have been twenty people in line or yelling at the gate agent as I was boarding, there was only one gate agent rather than the normal two, I can only guess staff shortage and delayed flights as I was boarding I said something to him about it being a rough day and he said this is only my second week and they have all been rough. I think staff shortages and new employees just add to the overall disorganized at the airport these days, it is all the airlines not just American,
