Got a phone call today with Amex Caller ID. The person on the other end mentioned they were calling on a secure/recorded line and wanted to explain my (Business) Platinum card benefits to make sure I was getting the most from my card.
So, is this a thing now? Or are the phone scammers getting even more clever nowadays?
I don't know the answer, but it seems like unless they already know you have a Biz Plat, they would be better off saying "We want to explain your %bank name% card benefits" rather than go with a specific card, especially one that is more of a niche card.
