Got a phone call today with Amex Caller ID. The person on the other end mentioned they were calling on a secure/recorded line and wanted to explain my (Business) Platinum card benefits to make sure I was getting the most from my card.

So, is this a thing now? Or are the phone scammers getting even more clever nowadays?
