If your flight is on time you should be fine. But not all flights are on time.

Are you on the first flight to SFO of the day? If not just ask for the earlier flight.

If you are already on the first flight, the next question to ask is, what happens if your flight to SFO is delayed? Have the flights that go to the other gateways already left? Or can they still rebook you on one of you other options? Because you will probably know whether you will make the connection before you get on the first flight (barring tarmac delays or really unlikely events like diversions) and that's the time to fix it if there's a problem.

Then you need to ask yourself, how much do you care if you are delayed by a day? If arriving a day later is no big deal then I wouldn't worry about it. On the other hand if it is a big deal, then you might want to consider traveling to SFO (or a different gateway if it's more convenient) the night before. Of course this incurs additional costs.
